Leaving
Panama City by plane, we will travel to Isla Bocas, on the Caribbean Sea,
staying in the hotel of your choice. Starting that afternoon, you can
scuba dive in two per day of the thousand diving spots close to Bocas
Island. Other optional tours include hiking in a tropical forest or spend
the day in a wonderful white sandy beach. If you decide to stay more days
you can still choose each day between two scuba or snorkeling dives and a
tour. So, even if your companion is not a certified diver, will be able to
experience adventure and learn about tropical ecosystems. Bocas' coral
reefs are fringing reefs that form large reef flats along most islands and
mainland, and reach the 60 m (200 ft) depth. Their age ranges between
15,000 and 20,000 years and is formed by 52 of the 71 coral species found
in the whole Caribbean. They are inhabited by more than 250 species of
fishes. This archipelago has remained silent witness to the advance of
time, making these beautiful islands a place in which you can experience a
little of the old Caribbean way of life, diving in healthy reefs that had
been studied in detail by Panamanian and international scientists.
